Foreon Network Development Update: Edition 4 — (Advancing Towards the Forefront)

Hello to our vibrant Foreon community!

The Foreon Network team is back with another development update.

We’ve been working tirelessly to enhance our platform, and today, we bring forth our latest advancements.

In our last development progress post, we noted that some new members Andrey and Valentina joining the Foreon team.

Over the course of several meetings, there were team dialogues between Andrey and Santiago and Andrey expressed concerns about using Demeter, specifically regarding its web UI and code editor, showing a preference for local editors and inquired about the possibility of using Demeter merely as a hosting platform for backend services.

Santiago clarified that the Demeter workspaces for coding and the hosting platform are distinct features, assuring Andrey that backends/frontends can be deployed using just the docker image.

Then also the team has added a comprehensive explanation regarding the Markets share-price formula.

The OpenAPI spec has been updated and also a mock-server has been set up, which provides an interface with dummy data.

The off-chain Lucid code in TypeScript is in development for creating transactions.

The team has also initiated the indexing process using Scrolls.

Updated the API spec with examples and uploaded a document detailing a low-level design, inclusive of transaction diagrams.

Boilerplate for the server has been set up, and for the next iteration, the team is focusing on implementing a simple oracle and transaction building.

We are also making progress on the implementation of a simple oracle and operations related to Foreon Questions for the MVP.

What We Are Currently Working On:

• Endpoints for the Claim operation.
• Offchain of Claim operation.
• A script for testing the flow of a question.
• Setting up a database for storing question information and updating it as new questions emerge.

These updates are crucial, and we’ll be discussing them in detail in our next development update.
